About the line
Line 41 is a Stockholm commuter train service linking Märsta in the north with Södertälje centrum in the south through Citybanan, with 24 stations in total. Stockholm's commuter rail service began on 12 May 1968, and the Södertälje route was redirected to Märsta on 1 June 1969. Since Citybanan opened on 10 July 2017, line 41 has used the roughly six-kilometre tunnel under central Stockholm and its underground Stockholm City and Stockholm Odenplan stations, separating commuter trains from other rail traffic. North of the centre it serves Solna, Sollentuna and Upplands Väsby; to the south it stops at Älvsjö, Huddinge and Flemingsberg. The current numbered routes, including line 41, were introduced on 10 December 2017.
