Kungsträdgården station is fully closed and blue line trains turn at T-Centralen while the metro extension towards Nacka and Söderort is connected to today’s tracks. SL points to Spårväg City 7, buses 65/69 or an 800-metre walk. Normal service resumes Monday 17 August.

Planned work11 June 2026
Trains are fully suspended between Hökarängen and Farsta strand while a noise barrier and connecting tracks to the Högdalen depot are built – the depot project’s last closure. Replacement bus 18H runs up to every ten minutes, and Gubbängen operates on a single track. Normal service resumes Monday 17 August.

The T27 consultation ahead of the December 2026 timetable change proposes, among other things, extending red line trains that today turn at Tekniska högskolan to Mörby centrum off peak, increasing Alby–Norsborg frequency to five minutes at peak, and extending green line trains that turn at Odenplan to Alvik. Proposals – not yet decided.
Maintenance16 July 2026
The temporary northern entrance at Ryssgården closed on 3 August while the City of Stockholm demolishes the building and renovates Ryssgården’s deck. Use the middle entrance at Katarinavägen or the southern entrance at Götgatan. A new permanent northern entrance is being built beneath Ryssgården.

The escalators between the Sergels torg ticket hall and the platforms towards Hässelby strand and Fruängen/Norsborg have been replaced – work had been under way since March. The new escalators are more reliable with improved safety.

SL’s 30-day ticket costs 530 kronor (normally 1,060) and 325 kronor at the reduced rate from 1 July to 31 December 2026. SL+Arlanda, UL/SL and Waxholmsbolaget period tickets are also discounted, and already-purchased annual and 90-day tickets can be partially refunded.

Fire-gas partitions that limit the spread of fire and smoke between platforms and evacuation routes have passed functional testing at Rissne, Västra skogen, Rinkeby, Duvbo, Huvudsta, Skarpnäck, Hjulsta, Universitetet and Mörby centrum. Kungsträdgården receives its partition during the summer closure.
