Live departures vs. scheduled timetable

This app shows live departures: the actual times right now, refreshed every minute from SL's open API. SL's printed timetable shows the planned times for a complete day. Use live departures at the platform and the timetable when planning ahead.

How to read a line timetable

  • Each line has its own timetable, usually one for each direction and terminus.
  • Times are normally split into separate weekday, Saturday and Sunday tables.
  • Trains run frequently during peak hours and less often in the evening and at weekends.
  • Find your station in the list and read the next departure in the correct direction.

Weekdays, weekends and nights: how the schedule changes

  • Weekdays (Monday–Friday) have the most frequent service, especially during peak hours.
  • Saturdays and Sundays run on their own, less frequent timetable.
  • On public holidays, SL normally runs the Sunday timetable, even when the holiday falls on a weekday.
  • On Friday and Saturday nights, several metro lines run through the night. On other nights the metro closes for a few hours and SL night buses take over until morning services resume.
