About the station and area
Hjulsta is the terminus of line 10 (the Blue line), after station Tensta, and was put into use on August 31, 1975. The station was blown out as a rock room under the Hjulsta school, about 20–22 meters below ground level, in the rock-hewn style that characterizes the Blue line's stations. On the platform walls is Eva Nyberg's elongated painting, which depicts a demonstration procession of black-clad people with waving flags through a landscape of nature, industry and urban development.
