About the station and area
Husby was put into use on June 5, 1977 in connection with the extension of the Blue Line to Akalla, and the station is located in a mountain tunnel under the center of Husby. The platform is known for Birgit Brom's artistic design with yellow walls decorated with birch trunks and Vaxholm boats. The station serves the district of Husby on Järvafältet, which was built in 1972–1977 as part of the million program, between Kista and the end station Akalla.
