About the station and area
Rågsved was opened in 1959 and is one of the green line's typical outdoor stations, unlike the inner city stations that are blasted into mountains. On the platform stands the bronze sculpture Fågel Grön by Björn Selder, erected in 1983. The station serves the district of Rågsved in Söderort and is approximately 8.5 kilometers from Slussen. When the blue line is expanded, Hagsätragrenen, and thus Rågsved, is planned to be moved from the green to the blue line around 2030.
