About the station and area
Skärmarbrink opened in 1950 under the name Hammarby and changed its name to Skärmarbrink in 1958. The station is an above-ground station with outdoor platforms, designed by architect Peter Celsing, and serves as a branch station where the Skarpnäcksgrenen and the Farstagrenen divide. It is located in Söderort between the districts of Johanneshov and Hammarbyhöjden, next to the Hammarby depot, and the station is decorated with bronze sculptures made by Carl Magnus in 1990.
