About the station and area
Blåsut was opened on 1 October 1950 and was one of the stations on Stockholm's first subway line, Slussen–Hökarängen, south from Slussen. The station is located in Johanneshov in Söderort and is an outdoor station with a platform, located about 3.6 kilometers from Slussen. In 2008, the station's artistic decoration, carried out by Ann Edholm, was inaugurated, with "speed lines" in black and white tiles and an abstract composition that can be associated with a face.
