About the station and area
The station opened in 1985 and is located in a rock room approximately 28 meters below ground in the district of Huvudsta in Solna municipality. On the platform, the traveler encounters Takashi Naraha's 1985 artwork "The Sky of Cube", where a black cube at the entrance and blue cubes with clouds are found in the raw, plastered rock wall. The station was previously called Vreten and changed its name to Solna strand in 2014 as the old industrial area was transformed into offices and housing. The Swedish Tax Agency has an office near the station.
