About the station and area
Stora mossen opened on 26 October 1952 in connection with the inauguration of the subway line Hötorget–Vällingby. The station is above ground on a bank and consists of an outdoor platform with an entrance at the eastern end from Drottningholmsvägen and Stora Mossens Backe. It is located in the residential district Stora mossen in Bromma, which is part of the Old Bromma garden city. The artistic decoration was carried out by Marianna Zaborska in 2002 and consists of colored clinker cladding on the walls and an orange line of enamelled sheet metal.
