About the station and area
Abrahamsberg was inaugurated on 26 October 1952 and is one of the stations on the green line's western branch through Bromma. The station is above ground with an outdoor platform and is thus not spread out in the mountains like many of the subway's later stations. Despite the name, the station is located in the Riksby district, close to, among other things, the Abrahamsberg church and the nature area by Lillsjön. The artistic decoration consists of abstract murals in glazed tiles that Rigmor Roxner created in 1999, inspired by the older tiled stations of the tram service.
