About the station and area
Brommaplan is a traffic hub in the Riksby district in Bromma, where the subway's green line meets a bus terminal with connections to the west in the outer city. The station was inaugurated on 26 October 1952. It has an outdoor platform on a viaduct that was opened in 1944 and was then served by trams. The artistic decoration, carried out by Peter Svedberg in 1996 in sheet metal, glass and aluminium, is connected to the history of Bromma and aviation and the proximity to Bromma airport.
