About the station and area
The current station was inaugurated on 15 August 1994, when the Green Line was extended south to Skarpnäck and the former ground station from 1958 was replaced. The station is located in a rock room approximately 19 meters below ground and is kept in a light gray basic tone. Artistic decoration is by Gert Marcus, whose translucent, colored glass panels run along the tunnel walls in tones with color transitions that allude to the movement of the trains. The station serves the district Bagarmossen in Söderort and is located between Kärrtorp and the end station Skarpnäck.
