About the station and area
Telefonplan was inaugurated on 5 April 1964 and has a center platform outdoors in a rock cut. The station's name comes from LM Ericsson's former headquarters and factory on the site; the head office moved to Kista in 2003 and Konstfack took over the old Ericsson buildings in 2004. The artistic decoration is a ceramic wall decoration by Bo Samuelsson from 1997, where the word "Telefonplan" is rendered in Morse code with a connection to the telecommunications history of the area.
